To benefit from these incentives, TMC’s woolgrowers must supply a Statutory Declaration listing wool clip lines delivered and their non-mulesed status with their delivery. The Statutory Declaration provided must be supported by the woolgrower’s veterinarian.
The veterinarian must have verified the non-mulesed status of the sheep listed on the woolgrowers Statutory Declaration, sign and date the document and provide their practice name and address details.

Thursday 19th April was the day that 140 current RWL members and interested woolgrowers attended the first Annual RWL Conference at the beautiful Moorilla Estate winery at Berriedale, Tasmania. RWL Customers Ueda San and Tahara San of ASICS Ubiq Japan attended as did representatives from a number of organisations who have contributed to the success of RWL and supported the RWL members including Mark Brooks ( AWI), Louise Gilfedder (DPI), Rob Heazlewood (Brand Tasmania), Yoshimitsu Hamano (RWL Representative, Japan) and a number of TMC representatives. Also present were Yuichi Ueda and Hiroshi Tahara ASICS Ubiq of Japan who currently have RWL Tasmanian wool garments under their Jane River and Taras Boulba active wear labels. They are very happy with the opportunity to work with RWL and had enjoyed learning more about Tasmania during their visit.
Murray Best (Roberts Wool Manager) opened the day introducing the major theme “Taking Control of your Future”, aiming at woolgrower involvement in setting their own direction, knowing the production costs and therefore returns needed for sustainable wool production. Most segments were presented by RWL members, with Eric Hutchinson, Roberts Wool Marketing Manager, as the MC for the day.
The key messages from the day were:
More Grower Commitment (wool) = More opportunities (Control) = Better relationships = Better prices
A RWL coffee table book gift was distributed to all members, along with clip feedback for all those whose wool had already been allocated to programmes. For those RWL members not able to be present on the day, the book and clip feedback sheets will be mailed or delivered by your Roberts wool representative. It was a wonderful day enjoyed by all.
